What is flat pack kit exactly?
Panelhome supplies a kit of structural insulated panels (SIPs) for your home’s walls and roof, based on your design. These panels are pre-cut to size, with insulation built in, and shipped flat-pack to your site. Along with the panels, you receive the engineering plans, fixings, and instructions needed to assemble the structural shell of your house.
How fast can a Panelhome kit be built?
Very fast – often the insulated shell of a home can be erected in a matter of days. Many owner-builders achieve lock-up (walls, roof and external doors/windows in place) in a few weeks or less, depending on the size of the home and help available. This is significantly quicker than traditional construction, which means you save on labour and get to the finishing stages sooner.
Do I need to use one of Panelhome’s designs?
Not at all. We give you complete design flexibility. You can bring your own architectural plans or sketch, and we will adapt our panel system to fit. Alternatively, we can help customise a design for you. The goal is to ensure you get the home you want, while still reaping the benefits of our fast and efficient panel construction method.
