Absolutely. The categories above (owner-builder, architect, off-grid, custom) cover our most common client types, but you don’t have to fit neatly in one. If, for example, you’re a homeowner who has a local builder but wants to use our system, or a developer planning a small subdivision of kit homes – we can work with that. The best step is to contact us with some details about your situation. We’ll tailor our services to you. Panelhome’s strength is flexibility, so we’re confident we can add value to almost any residential build scenario.
Panelhome primarily supplies the SIP panel kit and provides related services (design adaptation, engineering, delivery, support during assembly). We are not a traditional builder – we don’t typically undertake the full on-site construction and finishing of the home. That said, we partner with or can recommend independent builders familiar with our system if you need construction help. This approach gives you flexibility: you can self-build, hire your own builder, or we can connect you with one, depending on what “build with us” means for you.
Definitely. We often work with clients who have already chosen a builder or are builders themselves. We will liaise with your builder to explain the panel system, and provide them with all the documentation and support needed. Most licensed builders find our kits straightforward – in fact, many appreciate how it simplifies their job. If your builder has never worked with SIPs before, we can walk them through the process (it’s not difficult; if they can frame a house, they can assemble a panel kit). In the end, your builder remains in charge of the construction on site, and we ensure they have what they need from us to do it efficiently.
You can absolutely use our panels for extensions, granny flats, studios, or other small builds – not just full houses. If you want to add a new wing to an existing home, our system can be adapted to the extension design and tied into the current structure. Many people use Panelhome kits for standalone studios, workshops, or holiday cabins as well. The process is largely the same, just on a smaller scale. It’s a great way to get a quality addition built fast, without the disruption a long construction would cause.
Panelhome uses the latest SIP technology (Panelok), which sets us apart from many older kit home systems. Our panels combine structure + insulation, giving you a more energy-efficient and sturdier home by design. We focus on flexibility – we don’t box you into fixed plans or sizes. We also pride ourselves on personal support: we’re a tight-knit Australian team passionate about helping clients succeed in their builds. When you work with Panelhome, you get the attentiveness of a small company with the backing of innovative building technology. And of course, the big difference is speed and ease – our customers consistently tell us how amazed they are at the pace of construction and the simplicity of putting the panels together, compared to traditional methods.
